What is Cash for College?

The mission of Cash for College is to help low-income and first generation college-goers complete the application process so they can access financial aid for education and career/technical training beyond high school.

Starting October 1 through June 30, CSAC’s locally-based partner organizations, including high schools, community colleges, universities, and community groups host FREE Cash for College workshops to help students and families complete the financial aid applications.

What is the Statewide Cash for College Train the Trainer Program?

To expand our reach, the California Student Aid Commission launched the Fall 2020 Cash for College Train the Trainer Program. The Statewide Cash for College Train the Trainer Program provides new and existing community partners with the training and resources to host their own Cash for College Workshops to assist students in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or California Dream Act Application (CADAA). This program will expand on the Cash for College workshops to reach more students and assist in financial aid completion.

How do you become a Cash for College Community Champion?
